Phi received his Master of Architecture from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley. His work has been published and exhibited, including in a 2013 installation at the New Museum in New York City. He has served as an assistant instructor in architectural design at Princeton University and CUNY, and as an invited critic on design juries.  He is a licensed architect in California, where he lives and works.
